The Fit India Movement was launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister on 29 August 2019 with the vision of ‘Hum Fit Toh India Fit’ and the message ‘Fitness ki Dose, Aadha Ghanta Roz’, to make fitness an integral part of everyday life. Over the years, the Movement has expanded its public outreach through flagship campaigns such as National Sports Day, Fit India Carnival, and Sundays on Cycle.

The Fit India School Certification Program is an initiative under the Fit India Movement, launched with the objective of making physical fitness an essential and everyday part of school life rather than an occasional or event-based activity. The program derives its statutory basis from the Gazette Notification and Operational Guidelines of the revised Khelo India Scheme (KIS), which formally provides for a school-level fitness certification mechanism.

This concept note presents the proposed new design of the Fit India School Certification Programme and invites inputs and suggestions from schools, teachers, parents, education administrators, sports bodies, and other stakeholders. The Programme seeks to build a strong, continuing relationship between Fit India and schools by promoting fitness among students, teachers, and staff. It recognises schools that provide regular physical activity and sports opportunities and gives parents a transparent, reliable reference for making informed school choices.

The underlying policy premise is that the school is the first formal institution after home where fitness habits can be systematically taught, practiced, and reinforced in a child's life.

Make thousand or more whatsapp groups under Ujwal Bharath ( numbered 1,2,3….1000) in each state with minimum 25 active members with one or two admins and one main Admin as controler to coordinate with all groups. These group/team members work grass root level and visit houses ) cities and villages to explain all government schemes to people. Also they can help senior citizens and handicap people to avail all services. They can also help them to pay utility bills and medical help like getting medicines etc. This will help to boost Our party image and to face challenges in the future. Moreover they can do Councelling to students who are under depression and also give lessons on self defence to youths to face external forces.and challenges. The Fit India School Certification Programme is a positive initiative to make fitness a regular part of school life. I suggest introducing age-appropriate fitness criteria, flexible infrastructure requirements for rural schools, and a digital dashboard to track activities. Schools should receive a clear roadmap from 3-Star to 5-Star certification. Greater focus should be given to regular student participation, teacher involvement, wellness activities and parent awareness. The programme should promote continuous improvement and a lasting fitness culture in every school.

Title: Mandating 'Fit India' as an Evaluation Subject with Digital App Tracking Key Suggestions: Mandatory Subject Status: Make "Fit India / Sports Activity" a mandatory, graded subject in all schools. Marks or credits for physical fitness should directly count toward final academic report cards to ensure serious participation. Integration into School Apps: Require schools to track daily fitness activities, sports participation, and attendance through their existing school parent/student mobile apps alongside regular attendance and notices. Automated Youth Health Tracking: Standardize physical activity logging so parents and educators receive regular digital updates, making youth fitness a daily habit across the nation.

The Fit India programme is not simply about conducting one sports event. The objective is to develop a continuous fitness culture in the school, with regular physical activity and assessment. Recent Fit India guidance also encourages schools to conduct fitness assessments periodically through the Fit India ecosystem.
