Sea Customs in Gujarat State Vadinar & Mundra port are most. They demand no less than 30 cartons on the ship. The ship's agent, immigration & port health are all in concert. This gives the country a vary bad name. The above officials make India look worst than Nigeria

We are an exporter & our comments for customs improvements. Complication while receiving DBK through EDI, certain data i.e Container #/Seal # & Size to be updated by customs dept. Formally called as “Stuffing/EGM error”. Even after required documents are submitted after multiple times by us, same issue is not resolved at CFS.Major shipping bills are pending for DBK processing b’coz of this update. Pls review is the same required for DBK process? Pls look into this for further resolving the issue

Sir,
My first suggestion that IEC be issued by customs department and not by DGFT. There are large no. of fictitious IEC which are issued by DGFT which claim a huge amount of drawback on bogus exports. Therefore, issuance of IEC be integrated with Customs EDI system.
2. the importer/exporter should declare the account of AD bank with which they intend to bring the foreign remittances.

Please make sure the custom officer do not ask for bribe. Most of the times they harass common people for electronic equipment such as cameras or video cameras that are brought for personal use. I had an experience of this from a custom's officer at Mumbai airport. They take travelers' passports away. This is not right and illegal.

1. Making sure the security clearance is asap using technology & aadhar
2. Scanning of bags at checkin counter rather than opening the bags when custom officer feel like opening, Why should a officer check when I was not there?
3. I request govt to please not to ask to open the bag and take out LAPTOP, PHOTO CAM before security check. Can't this checking done when those items are in bag ? It eats all the time , even u think of each person has to wait 5 min for all this, its huge.
