When I visited Coimbatore for trip, I found that there are lots of places to visit. But these are not that familiar to a new tourist. Thus the tourist spots must be promoted either by placing some government packages in the bus stands, railway station and airport. Govt could arrange tourist guides to the NRI tourists free of cost in high hospitality. The traffic needs a control.

southern & western coimbatore has to be developed with all infrastructures as the development is taking only one sidely. This will lead to equitable development of the city. Further podanur station which has all the facilities has to be made to better use and necessary facilities provided to make optimum usage.

There should be an independant Development Body to take over the Development of the City and Corporation can concentrate on Day to Day Maintenance Activities. They should be entrustedwith Responsibilities and Powers to approve Developments as the Funds are given by Centre.State Govt should not interfere with the Development Council.

Aireport Extension,Formation of central Bus Stand Ring Roads connecting Avinasi Road to Sakthi Road Mettupalayam Road all these projects are dropped by Govt. The Traffic congestion is horrible in Avinasi Road Peelamedu ,Accidents are many in Peelamedu Hope college area.Smart city Project should address these problems first.

Thers are no Good Roads , Flyovers on Level crossings at Peelamedu, VilangurichyRoad to cheranmanagar .One finds very difficult to get any Housing plan approval from Corporation because the plans already approved by Panchayat is not valid as the Rules for Corporation are different. Many Residential Layouts were approved by Panchayats by local body presidents and now Corporation is not allowing any Construction work in the name of Town planning Approval.

Cotd. I would suggest Coimbatore Corporation should handover back Areas recently added like Vilangurichy,Kalappatti etc to Panchayat Administration .Development by local bodies will be Good as one can approach President , V.A.O or Executive easily and get t5heir problems instead of Corporation officials and Councillors who dont have any power to carry out developments.

Coimbatore Corporation is not able to carryout any Schemes Road Projects and even Housing olan Approvals Extensions. There is no development in areas like Vilangurichy Kalappatti and Roads are pathetic in these areas. One cannot even get any Approval for construction of Buildings Houses in Areas recently added to Corporation.Panchayat Administration is better compared to Corporation when one sees Developments in Keernatham ,KOILPALAYAM VILLAGES by Panchayats.
