My views on developing area based and greenfield smart solutions
Ahmedabad will not become smart by provision of only technology and development, there needs to be a drive to increase awareness and gain support from citizens. There some responsibilities of we citizens also to make things work. Ahmedabad can use the advantage of having high student population in important aspects of cleanliness, street design, allocation of activities and etc. Perhaps, some program to inculcate students in such programmes will help.
The point I am trying to make is that Ahmedabad should be developed in its local context. Context that benefits both who can afford and those who can't. Continuing the previous example, cycling lane provision is a good thing, but there is no policy to encourage cycling, to support use of NMVs. Even if tracks had to be provided, there should be such a track that tempts users to use it (shaded/covered/parking space,etc.). Need of an integrated transport system..2/2
Ahmedabad is very much ahead in terms of planning and developments if compared to bigger cities of India. But the problem lies is that the authorities want to replicate ideas of modern planning. Fro example: Providing cycling lanes (if seen near IIM-A road). It is provided because it forms one of the elements of street design. But the ground reality is, not one uses it because of hot weather conditions. on top of that, it used as a parking space for big vehicles... 1/2
Hello sir i'm engineering student of Ahmadabad. Please draw attention on road development side. Ahmadabad city Area is Unstructured means that no planned.so, here a road not expanded but to stick t on traffic rule because here lots of time i saw that traffic created because of not following traffic rule please sir do anything
Roads in certain areas in Ahmedabad are in a very bad condition especially vejalpur, the roads are being dug for past 3 months and not yet repaired. As it is the road is narrow and one track is dug, due to this every day we face heavy traffic in the area. The entire route right from Vejalpur Police Chowki to SHrinandnagar part 3 and juhapura is entirely dug which needs immediate attention
Sorry sir I don't have any suggestion but have a complaint against Ahemedad Municipal as your party's government is there in AMC and Gujarat Government since 4 months I am tired of complaining AMC about big manholes near my shop but nobody from AMC and government.
