Conventional education alone cannot meet the needs and aspiration of higher education. What proactive policies and strategies need to be devised and developed to encourage online education and overcome any implementation issues which are currently hindering its optimization? Also how can we strengthen ODL systems so as to ensure their quality and gain greater acceptability?

Courses being run at IGNOU are industry ready and project great potential for skill development. Organising Department-wise seminars and imtroducing relevant courses to 'ignorant' students will help in popularising these courses. AND OF COURSE, IGNOU NEEDS TO GET 3G!! IT'S TOO SLOW.

By this expenditure on education can be brought to minimum.Facilities can be managed through PPP model so that the income of the people is saved for their own future.

The syllabus of IEI is much tougher & upto date when compared with other private institutions. We need to acknowledge its strength & promote it for the sake of developement of our country.

Distance learning is a platform which is actually helping government in filling gaps in terms of availability of colleges in INDIA.

Suggest MHRD to continue its recognition to IEI India. AMIE is a structured engineering program where by the way of distance learning, students/employees will able to enhance there skill level. The syllabus is very vast & infact update also. Students showing there interest/efforts in clearing the same are the ones who actually want to do something in the field of engineering. I suggest my goverment to sustain the same & open more platforms like that for improving skill levels.

every government college should be open to student to join in ODL format in case he/ she is not able to make it or want to work and continue studies. For subjects like science labs etc. should made available during weekends so that ODL students can practice and learn or ITI's should be upgraded to handle college labs etc. To make ODL more appealing and recognized widely, there should not be any discrimination in terms of certification/ degree. This will reduce the stress of not getting college

Its a very good & affordable education system for those , who can't continue regular education due to family conditions and for who are living in remote areas of country, AMIE syllabus is adequate as compare to other regular institution/University , Examination process is also fair like as regular courses, no body skip any single step without doing any hardwork in respect to study in AMIE. afterall if there is any flaws so government should improved that aare, So MHRD to continue recognize AMIE.

Sir there should be a central level institution to regulate and monitor Open and distance education courses. These courses at least are not complying with the advertised standards.for eg Most often online courses promise online audio and video lectures but they seldom materialise.Time delay and difficulties faced by the students in accessing the concerned faculties add to the learners woes.

MHRD should continue its recognition of AMIE as it has done in past based on the decision of previous educationists who believed the importance of this form of education. Considering the International links and international forums on which IEI showed and performed very well. IEI was only institution in India who got permanent IPEA representing India all over the world. I would requested along with many of my friends below for continuation of AMIE. We are hoping for the best.
