Present Govt Hospital campus has GH, Super speciality Hospital, Children hospital(Under const) all under one place. This place needs to be developed with proper helplines, sign boards,... so that the patients can access all this easily.

4) BSNL and other internet service providers should lay the fiber optics which is multiple times faster than the current broad band.
5) Mono rail kind of projects should be implemented to connect / cover the surrounding districts, so that traffic on the road is manageable. My native is Salem, but I reside in Chennai, believe me, it is easy to drive a car in Chennai than in Salem.
6) Charge people for parking their cars at streets.
7Digitize all the government offices quickly as it is slow now

Hi,
Below would my points on bringing Salem to a smarter City.
1) Widen all roads, especially all the roads connecting 5 roads and old bus stand.
2) Build a bridge similar to "Kathipara at Chennai" at 5 roads.
3) The roads should be flexible for any type of work such as digging for phone / bb line, electicity, etc. And a strong agreement should be made with all the departments which does these work in such a way their cost should also involve relaying the road after the work is done.

The city of Salem requires to ensure basic infrastructure services to enable a decent quality of life in urban pockets and a clean and sustainable environment and adoption of smart solutions and providing more public spaces to poor. It may be implemented through areas based approach consisting of retrofitting, re-development, pan city initiatives. There is also need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development.
