The man who taught us that In a gentle way, you can shake the world, beginning his new innings with his 150th birth anniversary. He has left the legacy of teachings of morality, self-sufficiency, forgiveness, non-violence and satyagraha, etc behind him. Now, as the world is rapidly developing and growing in different dimensions , there are some areas which needs to be concerned for sustainable and inclusive development .

With these pedagogies in understanding, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti invites you here at this digital platform for an open and free flowing discussion where you can share and discuss your valuable ideas.
These ideas can be further utilized by Samiti in conducting different programmes dedicated to mark the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi.

All the citizens first have to feel the social responsibility and contribute for peace, humanity and food culture. Each one should be a role model to the others. No ego related issues. Cleanliness, greenness, service orientation, positive culture are some important aspects to be maintained which are the personality development features.

The true development starts at grass root level at villages. The concept of local governance at rural areas is the real outcome of the participants / citizens contribution in decision making at rural areas. The administration functions are carried out by the people through local leaders which contribute for significant development.

The Gandhian philosophy should be properly understood by all the citizens. The local governance should start from rural belts. The right of education, equality, right to work etc., should be properly understood. The policy makers have to formulate the policies keeping in view of the interest of society. The policy makers should be accountable to the citizens.

Gandhi Mandapam at Kanyakumari, Southern end of Tamilnadu needs urgent repairs. It is fitting to do it with dedication and not just like any other government contract where only a small percentage spent. I would rather suggest requesting a few unemployed civil diploma or degree holders taking help from retired civil engineers who are willing to complete the job with a reasonable margin. Payment to be paid without any hindrance from accountant. They can be registered to get further contract

Honesty is the Gandhi ji most important principal. In the background of huge availability, how much is really needed? Poverty in this age is caused mainly by the poverty of mind. We forget that vast majority lives with very poor means of living. On the other hand who has much to satisfaction, most of them go for more. Reasonable will be the goal. Keeping hungry neighbors 'more' is unreasonable luxury. Need self-honesty. www.ludhianafun.co.in

As Gandhi Ji said that villages are the heart of the country, and if they are functioning properly then whole country will be benefited by it because in India there are 649481 villages. If they are developed by providing education to all poor children, by providing good medical facility to all old people and by providing jobs to youths then I strongly say that my India will be counted as a developed nation. And I want that my government to follow this.

The faculty selection policies of UGC/AICTE caused many unethical practices like money, sexual harassment and undue advantages of guides at universities etc may be assessed. The Ph. D as essential qualification from 2020 at Asst. Prof. level is creating many problems which cannot be stated. The earlier policies are reasonably good. It may be mandatory from the position of Associate Prof. level. For position of Prof. the requirement may be completion of 10 year and publications in journals.
