Solapur has been shortlisted by the Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 100 cities to participate in the Stage II of the selection process i.e. the “Smart City Challenge”. Solapur Municipal Corporation would be submitting a Smart City Proposal (SCP) for Solapur for competing with the other cities in the Smart City Challenge and wants the citizen of Solapur to participate in preparation of the Smart City proposal. The citizen may post their views on how the services being provided by the Solapur Municipal Corporation can be improved which will benefit all sections of the society i.e. the rich and the poor should benefit from the solution being provided.

City road conditions are deteriorated..improvising them can lead to resolve many issue.Keeping citizens aware @ traffic rules n strict punishment for culprit by setting CCTV camera on busy area.Water supply & sanitation are the long pending monster issue for the Solapur city. Most of students leaving city for better career & job opportunity.Creating local employment in domain of IT, manufacturing, services ...etc..would be radical approach.

A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner. We have invented a Green Waste Reprocessor machine which re‐process all green reject and converts it into valuable by‐products. More details can be found on www.cleanindiatech.com #MyGov

Along with infrastructure development of Solapur as SmartCity, there should also be enough emphasis on maintaining and growing greenery/plant/trees all around the city. By default there is lot of dirt/dryness in environment and ground water level is going down day by day. There should be plan for maintaining/growing trees all around the city.

Local authorities should arrange awareness programmes for Rules & regulations of road traffic. Parking spaces shall be allotted at public places. Also to ensure the public follows traffic rules. Mostly for 2 n 3 wheeler traffic should be regularised,so that the accidents can be minimised. 2 whheler public alwyas drive the vehicles in the middle of road. Even though there is a space on left of the road. While giving horn for side They used to see back instead of seeing in mirror.

Urban development and regeneration programmes should support the formation, activity and success of local food initiatives by cooperating with local community and business support programmes to support the infrastructures they need to succeed and grow.

smart city there should be a green transport facility. We should use electric bus for public transport. Public transport should be given higher priority rather than there own car.Traffic mangement should be world class. There should be recycle department.Renewable energy must be given higher priority. For Kitechen gas we can use our own Gobar gas which can come from gokul dham.Waste mangement should be in priority.
