For Smart city Mangaluru.... Wide roads with separate walking footpaths for pedestrians. Basic needs like electricity and water supply , 24x7. Easy access to medical help. Libraries in various parts of the city. Parks for walking and jogging. Senior citizen centres where senior citizens can meet and carry out useful activities for themselves and society in general. Senior citizen homes built outside city limits for sheltering those whose children are away.

U.J.Kedarnath, Mangaluru My city blessed with nature should be developed as hot tourist spot ( God’s own Green City) with river cruise along Nethravathi and Phalguni river , an exclusive bicycle cum pedestrian path along the river side. Number of bridges connecting the mainland with Derlakatte, Ullal, Bengre, Bajpe…., developing tiny islands in the river as picnic spots , encouraging Beach and river sports, easy access to Pilikula, Panambur , Thannirbhavi, Someshwara…

All rallies, political meets etc should be held in a dedicated space outside city limits. All developments and expansion,of city should be done with 50-75yrs of future in mind. Whatever the plans for smart city...a committee comprising all stake holders should overlook and there should be system of self auditing by default so prevent corruption, delays, scams etc.
