Scope for much development activities within 3km radius of Hampankatta is limited, however those projects planned more than decade back like central market modernization, shifting fish market from SBI junction to central market. Developing football ground and hockey ground(present fish market)and proposed multistoried parking at hampankatta should be top priority.
Nehru maidan should be used for official functions like independance and, republic day celebrations only

For Mangalore smart city we should utilize hills within city limits utilizing vacant government lands central or state to store raw water from rivers to be distributed to apartments gardens, construction, ind applications .now the present method people have to depend on borewells and corporation for treated water.the water table is getting worse day by day during Jan to may .lots of energy is required for pumping.city should have parell raw water line which with energy efficient large pumps
