Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

Water and waste water. The infrastructure responsible for water – from collection to distribution, to use and finally reuse and recycling. Pipes, distribution centers, catchment areas, treatment facilities, pump stations, plants and even the water meters at private homes are all essential components of this responsibility. Water purity and cleanliness are also to be addressed.

Platform near teppakulam should be dedicated to pedestrians.. There are lot of illegal shops runs business in platforM.. Creates lots of disturbance for pedestrians

1.Plant trees across the city and proper maintainence team to be established .. 2. Sewage disposal 3. Encouraging citizens by arranging campaign to keep our city clean and green 4. Public transportation should be well connected. 5. As Trichy is centre part of Tamil Nadu.. The current bus stand is very small to accommodate .. It needs to be expanded or a new integrated bus stand should be constructed . 6. Air port run way should be expanded as Trichy airport is one of the busiest airport

a well systemized waste disposal should be brought into existence in gandhi market. dry toilets should be introduced. solid wadte management is necesary groups can be formed in each and every locality and they can help the governtment to maintain and function the implemented systems. government should join hands with the public to bring trichy as a green city

teppakulam can be get cleared and it can be made as a decorative or watchful pond with lots of fishes decorative lights. the street shops in NSB ROAD can be still more go inside to avoid traffics there. posters should be banned from sticking in bridges. plastic roads can be made by household waste. sewage management sysytem should come into existence

One Smart master citizen card can be used for all services instead of birth certificate, ration card, voter id, pan card… Automatic control devices can be used Switch off the street lights based on timer. Free/Low cost devices can be issued to every house to avoid the water tank overflow. Scrap maintenance -School bags, Toys, old cloths, beds, etc (may be useful for poor one) Starvation relief from excess food -introduce a vehicle like 108, to send the excess food from function to orphanage

All government schools, colleges, hospitals infrastructure should be modernised and government officials should be made to utilise them.Use of solar energy should be increased.There should be clearcut rules for maintenance.People who are hygienic in other countries when come to India throw wastes as they like.This should be addressed. People should be made responsible through non corrupt transparent administration at all levels
