The economically vibrant city of Pimpri-Chinchwad is one step closer to fulfilling its smart city aspirations. The city has been shortlisted to be developed as a smart city under the Smart Cities Mission of the Central Government. As prescribed under this Mission, the city is required to prepare a Smart City Proposal which will document the cities planned interventions for becoming a smart city.

As the city wishes to reflect the needs and aspirations of the citizens in its Smart City Proposal, the city seeks the opinions and suggestions of its citizens.

The following points can be considered while providing your opinions and suggestions for the city

• Problems faced by citizens
• Aspirations for the city
• Areas that should be prioritized for development
• Smart solutions that can be adopted by the city

In the smart city, Buses should be replaced by flat road escalator and metros.... This will reduce pollution in any city and increase human age life.

Improvement in Public Transport. BRTS is not enough. Metro will still take a long time to come. We immediately need TROLLEYBUSES. Easily run on BRTS Routes as they are fixed. Put overhead wires on them and run long Trolleybuses. Huge capacity and they also don't create pollution. The operating cost will also be much lesser than diesel buses as they run on electricity and not diesel. No need to create tracks for train/tram since they run on rubber tyres only. #PCMC #SmartCity #MyGov #MoUD

PCMC and PUNE SMART CITY pune was know for cycling city few decades back, We are looking for a greener revolution and healthier city. it means producing less carbon and burning more fats.. Every road if a proper share is given to cycling track, it should not be illegally occupied by any body, this can make a great change in thinking process... We as a small club INDO CYCLIST CLUB an NGO committed encouraging for healthier life and fuel saving ....

#PCMC #SmartCity Most important requirments of Pimpri Chinchwad are 1) Authentication of Real Identity & Cultural City as PCMC rather than Pune 2)Traffic rules & regulations 3)Preserving & Maintainance of Green zone 4) Pollution Control & Waste Management 5) Roads are already good but must be free from pits & holes 6) e Governance promotion, without paper & online 7)increase in affordable, clean, hospital or clinics 8)connectivity by city bus & local trains must be increased & improved
