The economically vibrant city of Pimpri-Chinchwad is one step closer to fulfilling its smart city aspirations. The city has been shortlisted to be developed as a smart city under the Smart Cities Mission of the Central Government. As prescribed under this Mission, the city is required to prepare a Smart City Proposal which will document the cities planned interventions for becoming a smart city.

As the city wishes to reflect the needs and aspirations of the citizens in its Smart City Proposal, the city seeks the opinions and suggestions of its citizens.

The following points can be considered while providing your opinions and suggestions for the city

• Problems faced by citizens
• Aspirations for the city
• Areas that should be prioritized for development
• Smart solutions that can be adopted by the city

Every govt run school should have an optional day care facility. This will help parents go to work without worrying about their kids. Also the kids will get better attention. The parents can't afford to pay for day care. And the kids spend the day by themselves and become victims of child trafficking, sexual abuse, addictions, gangsters. Also if school and day care are at same location, the kids won't have to commute between different places.

My suggestions are: 1) Improve transportation to Hinjewadi.Metro is the only option which can solve the transportation problem to Hinjewadi as there is huge bottleneck created in phase 2,phase 3. A best example of worst planning. 2) Put strict penalty for people who spit and smoke in public and those who break traffic rules. PCMC can't be a smart City with dumb citizens and powerless police official's. 3) Clean the river and use it as transport with nature beauty

Recycling of waste will produce renewable energy, ensure safe disposal of solid waste, prevent soil and environmental pollution and reduce depletion of resources

Proposal should be impressive and need to be more focused on Transport Systems , need ring road to cater vehicles coming from patna , ranchi , shekhpura , rajgir ....

Need to improve awareness in citizen. While the infrastructure is adequate in certain segments, public awareness is a must to make it realize. Digital signage and other IT driven solutions can be used to increase awareness.

The new societies in Moshi, Spine Road, Borhadewadi and Dudulgaon areas needs good and reliable public transport to the city. Many people have already started living here but they don't have good bus service to many parts of the city. Please extend all buses travelling till Bhosari to Moshi and make Moshi a bus terminus on the lines of Nigdi. Very Much needed. #SmartCity #MyGov #MoUD

In my opinion, for one region(local area)there should be one governing body for the implementation of various projects and providing fascilities for the citizens.So, the first smart move for the benefit of the commen people, is to merge the two local bodies of PMC and PCMC. We have seen in the past that many projects have been delayed because, if one body passes any proposal the other body takes time or rejects the proposal for various valid, invalid or political reasons,sufferer is commen man

We Pimpri Chinchwad Citizen Forum (PCCF) has proposed suggestions for Smart City Proposal. Suggestions are categorized into six focus areas 1) Awareness & Rights 2) Environment & Energy 3) Good Governance & IT 4) Heritage & Culture 5) Traffic & Transportation 6) City Structure and furthe broke down to PAN city/ABD. We are proposing Nigdi Pradhikaran for Area Based Development (ABD). Citizen Consultation Paper will help city's proposal to stand ​unique, innovative & practically viable. #PCMC
