Making Hubli-Dharwad a Smart City should include
1) Creative inclusion of Green spaces inside the city like planned Parks, Gardens and planting suitable trees on footpaths.
2) Improvement of slum areas near Railway Station, Ganeshpet & Old Hubli areas by providing proper roads by removing illegal encroachments of roads by commercial and industrial establishments which is the bane of Hubli since past.
3) Strictly observing cleanliness by imposing fines on people spitting and smoking in public.

We need to improve the roads rather than increasing the roads.
There is a necessity of protecting HUBBALLI-DHARWAD'S livable environment which is its identity.
