The selection of Hubballi-Dharwad for first 20 smart cities would result in rapid development of IIT-Dharwad within a span of 5-7 years.

Hubbali Dharwad should have a metro or a tram service which will reduce traffic, pollution etc.
All heavy vehicles should not be allowed to enter the city a separate route for them is a must
Multi storey parking should be seriously taken up #smartcity #hubballidharwad

A recreational club or sports complex will keep the residents healthy. The present facilities are totally underdeveloped and overcrowded.
Interaction with Google and Microsoft maps to help the residents to know the bus timings and routs. This has been implemented in Bangalore, and the same system will greatly help the residents. Also the markings of important landmarks and major commercial centers is needed. (part 7/7)

A special initiative to improve the aesthetics of the buildings in Hubli-Dharwad. Infrastructure and building improvement is very important and it is equally important that they should look good in their locality to beautify it. A team of freelance architects in association with Engineers institute can look into it. (part 6/7)
