There should be a separate area or road for the cyclists. Gim and yoga centers should be formed in all areas. Road side food stalls should be formed by the government in neat method.

My suggestions as below 1)Rain water harvesting across city roads 2)Decentralised waste management by composting or bio gas plants 3)Ban for plastic carry bag culture 4)mandatory enforcement for all commercial establishments for segregation and composting 5)Instead of cutting trees same needs to be replanted on common areas 6)Mandatory rules for using recycled water for flushing 7)Preserve all the water bodies and stream for water

More lanes with broader road to have free moving traffic.Effective recycling of the waste and converting to useful energy. Saving the limited water reserves we have and if possible building more water reserves.

Proper drainage system and roads are of prime importance. It would be nice to see dedicated path for ambulance. Traffic rules violation must be seen in a seriuos way. Plantation of saplings on the highways and in the medians inside city roads will improve overall green cover for the city. Areas newly added under corporation limits should be provided facilities as available in prime locations of the city.

A sub-urban rail transport system connecting Mettupalayam, Pollachi and Tirupur may be provided. Regular electric trains may be operated between Coimbatore and Mettupalayam, Coimbatore Tirupur and Coimbatore Pollaci to de-congest the roads.

Coimbatore is in need of lung space. The central jail campus spreading over 150 Acres may be converted as an ecological park. It can include a lake in an extent of about 30 to 50 acres. Treated sewage or sewage free drain water from the open drain may be used to fill the lake. The park can include a Botanical garden with different species of plants/trees. It can also accommodate a zoo, play ground and other areas for recreational activities. This will help in recharging ground water also.
