If by Chance we able to get approval for smart city, if we to implement it, it should be completed by any group of professionals and IAS rank officer and not through AMC completely. Lack of vision, poor implementation, lot of political interfare, un willingness to work makes our city in much trouble.

The main problem we are facing is financial. And this is only because of our inactive AMC. Our municipal corporation is most worst. Whole system is corrupt. The biggest example of this is our water utility company. State government is also equally responsible for this. I think our city is most expensive city in india. The water problem we are facing is also because of political failure. We pay cess, various taxes to AMC and state government but in return we didn't get the basic facilities.

I just want to add some point:-
Its a good news that our aurangabad is in Smart City line up, Government provide good amount for development. But is that money is properly used. Suppose govt provide 10 crore for development of one road but on paper the people show 10 Cr work but on actually they use low quality product and spend only 5 cr, rest of money in there pocket.
These point is to be consider that all money which is provided should properly used.

ISSUES:
1.Financial Crunch+Inefficient AMC
2.Tax-Overcentralization to AMC
ANSwers:
1.Automated paid roadside parking:CIDCO CONOUGHT,GARKHEDA,NIRALA BAZAAR-AURANGPURA-PAITHAN GATE.
2.Convert space below flyovers into Paid Parking.Advertising on Buses,Bus stands. All these generate funds.
3.Delink CIDCO from AMC.
4.Public Transport: http://shaktifoundation.in/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Training-Needs-Assessment-Gujarat.pdf
5."FILTH TO FRAGRANCE":Recycle/Compost all waste to Plant trees!

3. Create "My Aurangabad" app : create this app and let citizens use it for payment of MSEB, water, phone bills. Also, encourage citizens to pay taxes through this app.
4. It's OK to FINE : Make citizens accountable. For every broken rule, there should be fine. And no corruption while doing it, please.
5. Invite national and internal education institutes.
6. Invite global companies.
7. Make public places more pleasant.

For making Aurangabad a smart city the road connectivity must be good. The condition of roads ultimately decides the tourist count and industry interest. the city have wide scope to develope as a tourism central point because of its location and the different monuments.
The waste management is a disasterous and doesnt have clarity.
To make city clean and pllution free it must have clear waste management and disposal program as well as awareness program for citizens. #SmartCity

Smart city starts with smart citizens. This is the best opportunity for all of us to change the fortune of our city. So following are my suggestions in achieving this goal:
1. Make all public and private bodies accountable : Give responsibility to all public and private organisations for proper upkeeping of the roads. Link their efforts to local taxes so that their performance can be measured and also to motivate everyone to contribute.
2. Green aurangabad : involve school and college students

City being the gateway to Ellora & Ajantha, it lacks basic need of public transportation connecting even the Bus terminus and Railway Junction, leave alone the various tourist places within and outside the city.
Earlier attempt of introduction of public transportariton for local mobility under PPP mode is a failure and the Govt of Maharashtra and GoI has to ensure this basic needs.
