Recently, we have seen, that in Gurgaon, there is a car free Tuesday, and every one useing cycle. If we initiate such day in #Ahmedabad (#Amdavad), than it will help somewhat to bring traffic and pollution in control. #SmartCity #MyGov

Public transport needs to revamped.
More concentration should be given to build footpaths , parking.
We see lot of cable from one building to another.
Limited licence should be given for buying pvt vehicle, like singapore if not than one licence one home.
Many paan shops opening need to control that, we have side by side shopping complex with inadequate parking , need to bring policy 100 meters only one shopping or space for parking should be no of office shops into three.

We need to take care of the worsening traffic situation esp. in the old city. Multi-level parking at strategic locations and intermodal bus transit hubs like metro and cycle stands can reduce the congestion problems in the long run.

Ahmedabad needs to find a way to make its governance system better and faster through a connected city and cross department functionality. Technological interventions with the use of sensors for public utilities can be really helpful if we can figure out a way to collate and analyse data from the system.

The city needs to be connected with easy access to high speed internet if it wants to boost economics and other sectors. We cannot have a digital India if we do not have faster internet.

This initiative by MoUD is an opportunity for all the 100 cities along with a call of duty to all their citizens to come up with idea and help and cooperate with the Development Authorities and the Government of India to stabilize Our 'Future'. I feel that there is a need to inculcate traffic sense in all the vehicle drivers of Ahmedabad so that the city can run more smoothly without or with little help from the traffic control officers.

Finally, Its great to have a platform to share our views and expectations. It is endearing to see the BRTS, Digital Property records, the recently announced solid waste management initiative of Segregation at source and other initiatives already in place. However, there is still scope for improvement including better parking and traffic management solutions
