The city of Ahmedabad had been selected in the list of 100 cities under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India’s Smart City Mission launched in June, 2015. The city is now required to prepare a Smart City Proposal to participate in the next stage of the smart city challenge. In the next stage, top cities will be shortlisted to receive funding under the smart city program based on their smart city proposal.

Citizen contribution is core to the formulation of smart city proposal. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) seeks active citizen consultation in the formulation of a smart city vision, mission and plan for Ahmedabad. Citizens are encouraged to participate in the process of making a smarter Ahmedabad by sharing their views and aspirations from a Smart City. These would include opinions and comments on the current status of the city as well as suggestions on potential service improvements and citizen expectations.

To this effect, AMC plans to undertake multiple rounds of citizen engagement during the preparation of its smart city proposal. Based on citizen inputs and feedback, AMC would devise the area-based and pan-city initiatives to be incorporated in the proposal.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation invites the citizens of Ahmedabad to share their valuable feedback and comments in helping to make Ahmedabad a Smart city.

First make our police strong and smart is our first priority bcoz if they are strong wifi cameras and much things for security will be of no use if police of Ahmedabad are smart and digital…

In respect to smart city, people safety and security specially to woman should be given high priority.CCTV camara should be fixed at all the points from entrance of city to exit of city, which should be constantly monitored. smart city should be trade,sercives and business oriented, NO industries which make pollution, should be sanctioned within the limit of 25 kms of the city. The city should be completely with trees and plants,it should be pollution free, The people should feel like heaven

See is believing- I suggest we mount WIFI cameras on all the govt owned transport vechiles (buses / trucks / vans / 2 wheelers ) and connect them to various depts of public health / police / transport / roads / garbage clearance and many more ,these cameras will give live feed of the quality of roads / movement of vechiles / traffic violations/ garbage on streets / illegal hoardings / misuse of power for political rallies / road side tree cuttings / public behaviour in bus stands and many more

All facilities like water,electricity,road,drainage,health,education,business facilities,shopping mall,tele-eloctronic facilities,internet-wifi,Garden, theator,temple for all religion,hotel,railway,metro,transportation,latest infrastructure,all types of plays-grounds,clubs,all types of entertainment faci., etc,are unlimited,clean,dust-free,advance with high technology with online digital facilities for all types of services,There should be no deficit of any goods,items or services to people

The city of Ahmedabad requires to ensure basic infrastructure services to enable a decent quality of life in urban pockets and a clean and sustainable environment and adoption of smart solutions and providing more public spaces to poor. It may be implemented through areas based approach consisting of retrofitting, re-development, pan city initiatives. There is also need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development.

Smart Ahmedabad should have... 1.Better availability of clean air & water. 2.Easy communication with easy access to wi-fi network. 3.Culture with scientific temperament & patriotism. 4.Green & efficient power & transport with safety. 5.Cleanliness. 6.Peace & harmony. 7.Good waste management.

Even small area of Ahmedabad should be very cleaned and evergreen. There is a requirement to more IT companies to open their delivery center in Ahmedabad for a job opportunities and consistent & fast growth.
