Conventional education alone cannot meet the needs and aspiration of higher education. What proactive policies and strategies need to be devised and developed to encourage online education and overcome any implementation issues which are currently hindering its optimization? Also how can we strengthen ODL systems so as to ensure their quality and gain greater acceptability?

There are lots of discrepancies in our different norms. If a person studied through Distance Learning/E-Learning mode we are not ready to give him proper value. There are lots of examples we are facing quite often that a person became rejected from panel just because he/she graduated through correspondence.UGC act says, a state university can’t open a study centre outside the state, which is very illogical. So, MHRD should take a proper initiative to remove these discrepancies. see pdf for more...

Current regulation doesn't cover online education - it should be included Distance / online education - should have equivalency with traditional campus based programs Distance education and territorial jurisdiction is oxymoron Framework to accredit short term programs To regulate the quality - minimum standards should apply for student support/ service - so that the quality education can be ensured Ensure the quality of center based distance programs

In India, the large private companies does not recognise the distance learning certificates as they have doubt about the quality of the education. Quality control and Quality certification of the all Distance Learning courses is required to get back the confidence of the large private companies on these courses. World over Indian Distance learning courses should command respect and no one should look down on them. This can happen if India maintains the quality of it's distance learning courses.

Minimum age limit to pass class 10th and 12th must be abolished. Some simple way must be opened if any one want to pass 10th at earlier age. Also after 10th there must be scope to pass 12th class in very less time if i can study and complete my course and want to study further. You can put tougher question to do all these but I assure you would generate so many genius who in general looses life in long rung of study structure.
