The electronics waste (e-waste) comprises of discarded electrical and electronic equipment, and poses serious challenges globally for improper disposal practices especially in informal sector.

Hon’ble PM has emphasized the need for creating awareness for environmental issues under “Swach Digital Bharat’ during his address at NASSCOM event on 01.03.2015. On the direction of Hon’ble PM, MeitY has initiated the “Awareness Programme on Environmental Hazards of Electronic Waste through Digital India Initiative” over a period of five years to create awareness among the public about the hazards of e-waste recycling by the informal sector and educate them about alternate methods of disposing their e-waste.

Over 95 per cent of e-waste generated is managed by the informal sector. Integration of the informal sector and access to environmentally safe recycling technologies may reduce the health and environmental hazards. In addition to technology, capacity building, skill management, scientific recycling mechanism, business management training are also required for safe recycling of e-waste.

In this context, MeitY is inviting citizen inputs to provide solution for leakage of E-Waste in the informal sector, and suggest proper recycling technology for E-Waste that is economically available.

The last date of submission of suggestions is 4th April, 2018.

For any further information about E-Waste, please visit the GREENE website.

E-Waste is Big problem in today's world to dispose/Recycle and reuse i have suggestions - A National PSU like ITI/HMT or other will be appointed as National E-waste Collector with Private sector participation on PPP mode. A Warehouse or Collection Center at Each District Headqater will be made. E-Waste Collection APP will be used to get E-waste Awareness and Pumplets/PDF related to Recycle. After Segregation Useable E-gadgets will be sent to Underdeveloped States/Countries for their progress

Like when i purchase i product then i can read the resell value of product at lable when it will become totally west. This value can be add in MRP and when this product become west then i can sell it to distributor by showing this resell value when it become waste. After that Distributor can sell it on private portal or the product company. This is big problem with us we have recycle logo at most of product but not dont know where we can recycle it. And then pepole through it on road

Few day back zee news reporting on E-Wast where they are showing that lot of e-waste even in tons of quantity are import in India from other country just for burning in the environment. If government notices that and ignore it then first we need to take it seriously and stop it. And for E-West is we need to make a private portal to sell the E-West where distributor and tender can intract and we neend to fix resell price of every product at the time of manufacturing even total damage condition
