Kalyan-Dombivli has been short-listed as one of the 100 cities in India to be developed as a SMART City under the SMART Cities Mission. Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) is in the process of preparing a Smart City Proposal to compete in the nation-wide Smart City Challenge. Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation seeks the valuable inputs of the citizens to assist in the preparation of smart city vision. We request you to share your thoughts and aspirations on this discussion forum. The needs, aspirations and dreams of the citizens are to be articulated through the SMART CITY vision. KDMC is looking for active participation of the citizens to understand their likes and dislikes about the city, the city features to leverage for smart city development, and thoughts for optimum utilization of the city resources. The suggestions are welcomed on various smart solutions for urban services like water supply, sewerage, solid waste management; aesthetics, transport, health, e-governance and IT interventions.

I really regret to bought house in Dombivli at Sagaon area, it's totally mass...!! 1. In rain all drainage overflow 2. Smell of chemicals 3. Whole dombivli's bulk garbage dumping at back side of sagaon at MIDC. 4. Road of MIDc and Sagaon are in very bed condition. Recently they have cleared garbage on temporary basis & also repair the manpada road due to election but eventually its worst place to live. WE SHOULD HAVE BASIC AMENITIES BEFORE WE TALK ABOUT SMART CITY...!!!

Connectivity is a major issue for a place like Dombivali. Most of the people in Dombivali work in offices located in Mumbai. All of them have only one way to reach office. i.e., by the ever crowded local trains. Other means of transport need to created on fast track basis in order to release the burden over the local trains. More frequency of buses arae required which connect Kalyan-Dombivali to Mumbai. Transportation is a key factor which will enhance the growth of our city.

Currently Kalyan Station Area is total mess - the roads towards station are narrow. The rickshaw stands are on the main roads. 1. Kalyan Bus Depot , Tahelidar office at kalyan west should be relocated towards APMC ground so that there is enough space for people to move across near by station. 2. Kalyan West veg market which is beside should be maintained clean and neat. No vendors should be allowed to sell anything near by station

Construction. There should be some legal online way to obtain a Construction permissions. The people resides in Chawls no need to bring a schemes to make a building, it takes more time and if gov changes whole project get drop. Rather give a legal way to construct them self We have capability to make the best construction and increase the stander of living. But due to the fear of gov scheme will destroy our house and not Having any easy Legal procedure to obtain const permission we stop.

The condition of the local streets are very bad. The government should give a Any contract to a contractor by taking minimum years of guaranty of the road. if the road damage before the guaranty period there must me strict action against all those involved in the matter. The roads are repaired and constructed several times in the year. Why don't they make a quality road once so that it will last for a long time. I have lots more queries and ideas Will post it later Thank you.

there is a need of direct bridge from dombivali west which will directly join nashik highway travelling to anywhere by raod from dombivali west or coming in dombivali west from anywhere is headache. There is ample scope for developement of roads illegal constructions are on pick at dombivali need to have solution on that corruption is on pick. KDMC dont even maintain the Gymkhana properly its in very bad shape. if you give 50 rps to them u can enter in gymkhana for one day pathetic.

Our Safaai wali Garbage pickup lady never do safaai or clean properly and she will always do mess in front of gate and if she is late she will keep the full of garbage bucket inside near by Gate need to complain of her

The website http://www.kdmc.gov.in/ When you Click complaints link the page never loads ( When you Click Online services link the page never loads ( Those 2 links are the basic links and that only never works

Kalyan-dombivali are worst in amenities. We need to atleast have these considering vision of smart city- 1- Roads need to be bigger with big foot paths for walking. 2- central Railways need to incorporate more trains from kalyan during peak hours. 3- Tree cover is worst in kalyan dombivali, we need to plant trees on both sides of the roads & make new gardens,parks,play grounds for children and people to go there and relax. 4-need Metro/Monorail for traveling inside city
