deaths can be natural or accidental or can be smthing else also thus it requires formalities, but it doesnt mean that it should be mental tortures on related parts,, the process should be quick, reliable n easy to follow, the formalities n documentations should be on the authorities part... the members of the family n known are to be induldge in it..

At time of death of near or dear ones, During this painful times, i had to run from cemetery to police station & again to cemetery. few days after last rituals after last rituals started process of Death certificate. I would like to suggest to the goverment that, plz spare citizens from this process & let the hospital or doctor upload the Death report to a portal & the cemetery / police concer it & BMC issue Death certificate automatically. coz all other process is based on the hospital papers.

My small inputs: In India there should be website in which every register hospital should be accessible to enter date and time of a newly baby born along with parent's details and issued authorised certificate so that its mandatory to have before check out from hospital and this will be submitted of proof for issuing birth certificate. Same like death certificate.

many can be done 1. adding the names of parents integrated (eg: (s/o)or(d/o) father name & mother name) 2. making smarter ways of applying certificates. 3. integrating certificates with the aadhaar card so we can know are they alive or not (avoiding misusage). 4. application of certificate for should be done within 3 weeks.

India needs to swiftly assign resources and give high priority to improving data on births and deaths It has come out with estimates of excess deaths based on Civil Registration System (CRS) data for many States which showed that the death toll was several times higher than the official death toll due to COVID-19. Such discrepancies have been reported from other countries including the U.S. and Europe though they may not have been of such magnitude.

The Act mandates the use of uniform birth and death reporting forms and certificates throughout the country. 19 States the Chief Registrars are from the Health Department; in 12 States from the Department of Economics and Statistics and in the remaining 4 States it is the Department of Local Government.
