Karimnagar city in the state of Telangana has been selected by Government of India (GoI) to participate and prepare a Smart City Proposal (SCP) under the flagship programme - Smart City Mission (SCM).
The Smart City Proposal should capture aspirations of the citizens about Karimnagar and their inputs for formulating a vision statement and strategies for the development of city.
In this regard, Municipal Corporation Karimnagar requests its citizens and other stakeholders to come forward and share their views to make Karimnagar a Smart City.
The last date to submit comments is 30 November, 2016.

there are a number of autos in the city. bringing all the autos under one bracket and bringing closer to the citizens such as developing an app on auto tracking, driver details. etc.

Sewarage and wastewater treatment plant should be located.for the conversion of sludge into various beneficial by-products, and the process of extracting thermal energy from sewage and wastewater.

should have universal access to electricity 24×7; this is not possible with the existing supply and distribution system. City need to shift towards renewable sources and focus on green buildings and green transport to reduce the need for electricity.
