Karimnagar city in the state of Telangana has been selected by Government of India (GoI) to participate and prepare a Smart City Proposal (SCP) under the flagship programme - Smart City Mission (SCM).
The Smart City Proposal should capture aspirations of the citizens about Karimnagar and their inputs for formulating a vision statement and strategies for the development of city.
In this regard, Municipal Corporation Karimnagar requests its citizens and other stakeholders to come forward and share their views to make Karimnagar a Smart City.
The last date to submit comments is 30 November, 2016.

All Smart Cities should have digital sign-boards displaying the current status of traffic and directions on all roads within a radius of 2 kms from the board. If such boards are placed every 2 kms it serves the purpose.This will allow everyone to decide at run-time on which route to take. As of now cars have GPS that does help. But many dont have. And large digital displays showing this information for everyone can also ensure that even those who dont have GPS get this information at all times.

every school must be instructed to build small lockers.number of lockers must be more than number of students in school.one book of each subject must be kept in each locker.then a locker must be given to each student at the starting of every academic year and the student must take these books to study.at the end of the of the year the student must keep the book back in locker,which the student of next year can use it.these books should be replaced in not less than 10 years by school authorities.

करीमनगर तेलंगाना का शहर है भारत सरकार ने स्मार्ट सीटी बनाना बनाने के लिए चुना है यदि सरकार चाहे तो इस शहर को पर्यटन के लिए विशेष बनाया जा सकता है क्योकि पर्यटन की दृष्टि से यह तेलंगाना का शहर खुबियों से भरा हुआ हैं।

I think city have a whole needs a makeover.Roads in many places in the city are in very bad state.Water supply is also issue in some areas.The traffic in tower clock(Gadiyaram area) needs to be taken care of.There are lots of buildings in the city that are demolished for expansion of roads but still work is under progress that has to be taken care off as soon as possible.
