The Government has reviewed the existing draft National Youth Policy, 2014 and prepared a new draft National Youth Policy (NYP). The draft NYP envisages a ten - year vision for youth development that India seeks to achieve by 2030. It is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and serves to 'unlock the potential of the youth to advance India'.

The draft NYP seek to catalyze widespread action on youth development across five priority areas viz. education; employment & entrepreneurship: youth leadership & development; health, fitness & sports; and social justice. Each priority area is underpinned by the principle of social inclusion keeping in view the interests of the marginalized sections.

The Department of Youth Affairs seek comments/views/suggestions on the draft NYP from all stakeholders.

Please refer to the policy document: Draft National Youth Policy (PDF 1.23 MB)

TOUR OF DUTY (TOD) AGNIPATH FOR INDIAN YOUTH -------------------------------- An Innovative policy framework work to defend the Sovereignity of Our Nation without spending a penny even by having an Army Of Contractual Soldiers. However , with a pinch of salt that though it may work but our Govt needs to be cautious that having implemented this policy , in future when these modern weaponry trained Youth Power remains unemployed, of which chances are very likely . Those frustrated with poor living conditions or due to poverty may be recruited by fringe and anti national forces with in or they may even be utilised by luring them by Enemy to create disturbance in Indian ecosystem or even in our Society also .. My Two Cents. Jai Hind

India is having a lacks quantum computing enablement and long-term semiconductor failure. be enabled. I really don't live in an illusion that bjp sells. the way tons of money colleges are asking from the students is uncontrolled, lower-income groups tend to quit education after graduation and teaching quality is dropping in private engineering colleges any policy looks like a failure nowadays. courses from western sources in tech are extremely costly. if IITians and IISs guys were great talents why does India holds a semiconductor failure just for one fire breakout? All Western organizations still think India is a place for the cheapest labor and they hold ownership over Indian resources. useless

I want to express my openion in this regards, in my views it's big demand and primarily need of youths of India is unemployment. A number of youths are suffering from this , the vacancy that comes very less in numbers, not proportion to the population. So it's very clear only a few candidates can get employement in govt schemes Rest candidates became depressed. Secondaly some fault in education policy also after academic degree it need professional degree that as re very expensive that common people cannot afford So education system help to get employement and it based on current employement demand

The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for introduction of the National Youth Policy-2014 (NYP-2014), replacing NYP-2003 currently in force. The vision of NYP-2014 is to empower youth to achieve their full potential, and through them enable India to find its rightful place in the community of nations. For achieving this vision, the Policy identifies five well-defined objectives and 11 priority areas and suggests policy interventions in each priority area. The priority areas are education, skill development and employment, entrepreneurship, health and healthy lifestyle, sports, promotion of social values, community engagement, participation in politics and governance, youth engagement, inclusion and social justice. The focused approach on youth development and empowerment involving all stakeholders, as envisaged in NYP-2014, would result in development of an educated and healthy young population, who are not only economically productive, but are also socially .
