One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Dear Respected PM, i can see though there is lot of digital india is there but common people is yet to reach administration and Mahanagarpalika without difficulties. after heavy rain in Mumbai there are so many potholes on road. i cannot understand why every time no strict action against government employee is taken?why contractor is not proven faulty and lodge with heavy fine? even every time driving car to home we are facing so many traffic issues as those potholes are not filled within time.

Dear Respected PM, there is lot of interest in citizens to listen to your speeches in local languages, particularly those like those you gave during no-confidence motion. If we can dub movies across english and regional languages, this is also doable. With 370 million citizens with smartphones this provides a great reach to both urban and rural citizens/voters.

Respected and dearest our prime minister Sh.

Today the roads in india are full of cars and bikes.. this discourage the people to walk or cycle. Please make some king of policy to discourage the use of motor vehicles and encourage the pedestrian movement or cycle. This might also help in achieving a sustainable environment. Then the streets will be full of people rather than motor vehicles.

In Academic exams (in all subjects like maths, social),questions for 70% marks should be given from class books. For remaining 30% marks, questions should be given on principles which we want to tell the students. They should write each principle 21 times neatly. Example:Upto 10th class, topics:washing hands, play games,Less TV,eat fruits, play more".For College students:Less using cell phone, no to drinking, drugs, smoking, ragging, dowry, eve teasing. voting, following traffic rules etc

In every country, Youth plays an important role in nation building and I believe our Government is also doing the same to become self sufficient in nation's future skill requirement. However another approach may be considered to use the huge skilled manpower (mostly retired with high skill and experience in their respective area) to help Government. Currently only retired officers e.g. IAS / IPS / Sr. PSU are given the opportunity ignoring corporate (except few decorated director)

Hello modi sir There is a eligibility criteria in many IIT that if someone has completed BTech from CFTIcentrallyfunded ltechinst with a good cgpa he does not need gate qualification. This is not all, by many such similar rules we are neglecting extremely prestigious and old state institutions which have served the nation. Public Distributed system is one of the most corrupted area in our country. Why are we still making people to wait in long queues to get rice, wheat and other studies get gon
