One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Dear Sir, Can we bring an alert system like what United States is having [AMBER Alert]?. This helps in alerting the entire country or state in the event of a missing child or crime against a woman?

Dear Sir, Public Distributed system is one of the most corrupted area in our country. Why are we still making people to wait in long queues to get rice, wheat and other stuffs ?. The process can be made simple, if the items distributed can be packed and each package can be assigned a barcode, This will save lots of time, improves the tracking and reduces wastage.

Dear Prime Minister..During monsoon one of the biggest loss would be accumulated water in low level area, huge grounds etc specially in cities going into drainage. Suggestions would be contruction of huge tanks near these IDENTIFIED LOW LEVEL AREAs and pumping them into these tanks from time to time; Such storage of water would come handy for regular daily usage. This step necessarily be taken by both State / Central Govts to save water for future. How about taking up this point in this month ?

Humare desh me aaj bhi English ko hi official language ke taur par proyog Kia jata Hai har govt office me English hi proyog me Lai Jane wali bhasha Hai yaha tak ki supreme Court aur high court me bhi English ka hi proyog Kia jata Hai isliye Mera nivedan Hai ki Kam se Kam courts me hindi ke proyog ko badaya Jaye. Being the citizen of India, I want to request to our government that they should bring some good policies for our farmers. Although our current government has taken some good steps but i think it needs more attention. To improve the condition of farmers , government should pay the dues of sugarcane farmers as well as give 5% money of their previous year quantity of sugarcane in advance for next year. It will help our farmers.

As the shown example of self-attestation are working for all the sections of Govt. But the truth is in Surat-Gujarat RTO (Regional Transport Office) not accepting self attested copies of any documents, must need to stamp Notary outside of RTO by paying money. I have personal experience for my Address update in RC book. Even the Insurance copy (If you buy Online/Offline and Digital copy to your email also not accepted). Forcefully you have to Pay for attestation. No authority listen of citizen.
