The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across India to share their constructive suggestions and innovative ideas through the initiative "Have an Idea? Share it with ICAI".
This initiative provides a platform for citizens, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to contribute their valuable ideas for strengthening the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Chartered Accountancy profession, and India's financial and economic ecosystem.
Participants are encouraged to submit their suggestions on areas such as strengthening the Chartered Accountancy profession, promoting economic development, enhancing transparency and good governance, leveraging technology and innovation, improving financial literacy, supporting entrepreneurship, and contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The objective of this initiative is to encourage meaningful public participation and harness diverse perspectives to help build a stronger, more transparent, innovative, and future-ready Chartered Accountancy profession while contributing to an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable financial ecosystem for the nation.

My suggestion for strengthening ICAI and Viksit Bharat @2047:
ICAI should launch "Bharat Audit Stack" - an AI + Blockchain platform in 22 Indian languages for MSMEs. This will help 6 Cr MSMEs maintain books, detect fraud, and file taxes with CA verification. Simultaneously, ICAI should start "CA in Every Panchayat" financial literacy drive and "Startup CA Sahayak" for startups at low cost. Also, introduce specialised CA tracks like CA in Forensic, ESG and AI Auditing with mandatory factory residency. This will make CA profession future-ready, transparent and central to India's $30 trillion economy vision.

ICAI may please prepare Financial/ MSME modules to guide young entrepreneurs… Bharat a country of Villages largely Relying on Village and Agri based Businesses…. Concept should be Add value to present Prevailing systems… Agriculture, Fisheries, Flower etc… Models for increased yields and their after models to process it for Preservation and Sustainability….China models of MSME should be available for Future guidance of young minds…

ICAI can play a stronger role in building a transparent, technology-driven and future-ready financial ecosystem.
1. Digital Financial Literacy: Create simple multilingual financial-awareness programmes for students, rural citizens and small entrepreneurs.
2. AI & Technology: Promote responsible use of AI, automation and data analytics in accounting, auditing and compliance.
3. MSME Support: Establish an easy digital platform where MSMEs can access guidance on accounting, taxation, compliance and finance.
4. Youth & Students: Introduce practical financial education, mentorship and innovation programmes for young professionals.
5. Ethics & Transparency: Strengthen awareness of professional ethics, accountability and good governance.
6. Rural Outreach: Encourage CAs to support villages and emerging businesses through financial literacy and advisory initiatives.

In my view, ICAI can play an even stronger role in preparing the Chartered Accountancy profession for the future. Along with strong professional knowledge and ethics, students and members should get more exposure to AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, blockchain, automation, GST and modern accounting technologies. Practical learning through real business case studies, simulations and industry interaction can help students connect theory with actual professional situations.
ICAI could also create an innovation platform where students, young CAs, entrepreneurs and professionals can regularly share ideas and practical solutions. Special support for MSMEs and startups through simple financial, taxation and compliance resources would strengthen the wider financial ecosystem. Affordable skill-based courses, mentorship programmes and career guidance can further support young professionals.

विषय: ESIC पोर्टल पर Edit Requests के समयबद्ध निस्तारण हेतु सुझाव
मेरा सुझाव है कि ESIC पोर्टल पर बीमित व्यक्ति द्वारा नाम, जन्मतिथि, मोबाइल नंबर, पता, परिवार एवं नामिनी आदि विवरण अपडेट करने के लिए प्रस्तुत Edit Request का अधिकतम 15 दिनों के भीतर Employer द्वारा Approve/Reject करना अनिवार्य किया जाए।
यदि 15 दिनों में Employer द्वारा कोई कार्रवाई नहीं होती है तो पोर्टल से संबंधित Employer एवं ESIC Branch Office को Automatic Reminder भेजा जाए। इसके बाद भी कार्रवाई न होने पर मामला स्वतः संबंधित वरिष्ठ ESIC अधिकारी के Dashboard पर Escalate हो।
साथ ही बीमित व्यक्ति को पोर्टल पर Request की वर्तमान स्थिति, लंबित रहने की अवधि तथा किस स्तर पर Request लंबित है, इसकी स्पष्ट जानकारी उपलब्ध कराई जाए।
इस व्यवस्था से देशभर के लाखों बीमित कर्मचारियों को अनावश्यक परेशानी से बचाया जा सकेगा तथा ESIC सेवाओं में पारदर्शिता और जवाबदेही बढ़ेगी।
अतः 15 दिन की समय-सीमा, Automatic Reminder एवं Automatic Escalation की व्यवस्था ESIC पोर्टल पर लागू करने पर विचार करने का अनुरोध है।

I suggest that ICAI encourage greater awareness about responsible financial practices in India. People should be encouraged to understand the importance of planning their income, controlling unnecessary expenses, maintaining proper records and preparing for unexpected situations. Small businesses can also benefit from better record keeping, planning and careful management of their available resources. Greater awareness of these basic practices from an early stage can help people make informed decisions and avoid difficulties in the future. This can support responsible decision making and contribute to a more stable and aware society.

I suggest that ICAI develop a simple digital platform called “My Compliance Calendar” to help small businesses and first-time entrepreneurs manage their financial and tax responsibilities. Many business owners struggle to remember GST, TDS, income-tax and other important deadlines. The platform could create a personalized calendar based on the user's business type and registrations. It could send timely reminders, provide simple explanations, show required documents, and explain possible penalties for missing deadlines. A regional-language option would make it accessible to more people. For complicated matters, users could also be connected with qualified Chartered Accountants. This can encourage timely compliance and strengthen India's MSME ecosystem.

To achieve the national vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat), grassroots urban
governance must move from a bureaucratic system to a collaborative, citizen-driven
ecosystem. Currently, significant central and state funds are allocated under the Smart Cities
Mission and local municipal budgets. However, street-level execution remains poor—
characterized by dirty streets, foul smells, broken footpaths, and unchecked civic
encroachments.
This proposal introduces a decentralized, smartphone-based workflow application where
local municipal contractors are paid only after the physical work is digitally inspected and
approved by the nearest registered Housing Societies or Resident Welfare Associations
(RWAs).
