The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across India to share their constructive suggestions and innovative ideas through the initiative "Have an Idea? Share it with ICAI".
This initiative provides a platform for citizens, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to contribute their valuable ideas for strengthening the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Chartered Accountancy profession, and India's financial and economic ecosystem.
Participants are encouraged to submit their suggestions on areas such as strengthening the Chartered Accountancy profession, promoting economic development, enhancing transparency and good governance, leveraging technology and innovation, improving financial literacy, supporting entrepreneurship, and contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The objective of this initiative is to encourage meaningful public participation and harness diverse perspectives to help build a stronger, more transparent, innovative, and future-ready Chartered Accountancy profession while contributing to an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable financial ecosystem for the nation.

Yeah, I am Shivshankar, studying in CA Inter from three years. Before joining CA, I have no idea, zero knowledge about how should I live my life. When I completed my twelfth, I scored 100% in my tenth standard, and I scored 95% in my eleventh and twelfth standard. Because of that, it increases my ego and my, what I say that, my alter ego to the next level. When I did foundation, I cleared it in first attempt. It takes, it taken my ego to the next level, next and next level. So I started thinking that in this world, I am the intelligent fellow. No one can be intelligent than me. I propose that ICAI starts a volunteer program called "Dhan Khoj" using CA students. Students can set up free help desks at local ICAI branches or community centers. They will help senior citizens, small shop owners, and poor families safely check portals like UDGAM or IEPF, fill out the forms, and avoid online scams.Why it works:It does not cost money to build new systems because it uses students who want to learn real-world skills. It protects poor people from paying high fees to agents and brings hidden money back into the local economy. This simple step will teach people about money and make CA students active helpers in building the country.

ICAI can play an important role in making financial knowledge simple and accessible to citizens, students and small businesses. A nationwide financial literacy programme could provide easy guidance on taxation, savings, budgeting, digital payments, basic accounting and fraud prevention in regional languages.
ICAI could create a digital platform where students and young entrepreneurs can access practical learning, mentorship, accounting resources and compliance guidance. Small businesses and startups could receive simple tools to maintain proper financial records and understand regulatory requirements.
Technology such as AI and data analytics can be responsibly used to improve auditing, reduce errors and identify unusual financial patterns while protecting privacy. Collaboration with universities, startups and government institutions can promote innovation and create opportunities for young professionals.

Promote Indian firm which become big 5 Indian company and give service in international market. It can compete with big 4 and eliminate their domination
there is difference in demand and supply of ca so icai find the gap and allocate that work to CA firm which have combination of old and new CA .
Provide the training of data analytics,use of AI,automation which help to do audit.
Take exam on a practical question in modules theory is different and in real life work is done on another way . Like ITR file, GST file etc.
Make applicable industrial training compulsory for the minimum 3 months so they also understand the how the industry works and understand the process.
Increase the articles stipend so they work with more effectively due to low stipend some times they demotivate and not done work properly.
On the due dates CA firm can force article to overtime but they are not pay the extra amount so make the fix time for article except time of audit season.

Idea: UDIN-Linked Fee & GST Verification System
Members often undercut audit fees below ICAI rates (often via intermediaries taking high commissions), then show inflated fees in financial statements. Some also charge clients GST but don't report it as B2B supply, denying clients ITC and causing revenue loss — damaging ICAI's reputation.
Solution: Link fee payment to UDIN generation:
Audit fees must be received only via bank (no cash).
GST-compliant invoice (with client's GSTIN) must be raised on/before UDIN date.
Invoice number, GSTIN & bank credit details mandatorily entered on UDIN portal.
ICAI-GSTN API cross-checks if invoice is reported as B2B in GSTR-1; mismatches auto-flagged.
This curbs fee undercutting, protects Government revenue and client ITC, restores fair competition for transparent CAs, and strengthens ICAI's real-time monitoring.

Dhan Khoj – Turning CA Training Into a Public Service
India has crores of rupees lying unclaimed with the government, like IEPF dividends, dormant bank deposits and unclaimed EPF money. People do not know how to trace it, or cannot afford agents who charge heavy fees for this.
My idea is that ICAI should use CA articleship training to solve this. Lakhs of students already spend training hours on routine work. Instead, ICAI can train them to help citizens search government portals like IEPF, UDGAM and EPFO, and file the right forms, free of cost.
This needs no new technology or law, only using a resource ICAI already has, its own students. It gives students real practical skills, helps citizens get back their own money, and builds public trust in the CA profession.
I call this idea Dhan Khoj, a simple way to turn existing training into a real service for the nation.

As a CA student, my biggest concern is that when we receive our certified evaluated exam copies after a result, we only see the marks deducted, but we never understand "why" they were cut. We are left completely clueless about our presentation mistakes, step-marking errors, or standard format gaps. This creates a blind loop where students repeat the exact same presentation mistakes in the next attempt.
Instead of generic portals, ICAI should introduce a "Discrepancy & Evaluation Feedback Insight" directly on the student exam dashboard. When examiners check digital copies, it should be mandatory for them to select a basic reason code from a drop-down example Wrong Format, Missing Step-Working, Incorrect Section Reference for any major marks cut.
Providing this one-line diagnostic feedback along with certified copies will give students an honest direction to fix their flaws, saving them from endless attempts and building immense trust in the evaluation system.
