Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

In education department in government sector, stop re employement and extension type policies, totally corrupting the system in all fronts.A 60+ is given job who is stagnated, frustrated, physically down and 65% youths are jobless and can inject life in the disorder system. In delhi 60+ retired teachers are again employed in full salary for two years. What a shame for system.Make a policy in all over India that no re employement policy will be taken in education department. Big loss of revenue.

In government sector shortage of teachers, without principals school functioning is affected badly.Teachers extra work like blo duty , census, surveys etc are affecting too much.Different stipends are distributed throughout the year wasting too much time.It should be done once in whole year.Reduce the age of retirement for teachers. After 55+ they are just for nothing. In government sector, after 55+ teachers are big burden.I am also from that system.Reduce age.Change syllabus too.Time for action

At elementary level from class 5th to Class 10th bring the credit system for community welfare and awareness activities. This means a minimum of 10 hours a week compulsory community service or awareness activity wherein student will be required to serve old-age homes, carry out cleanliness drive, holding awareness march activities to inculcate the feeling of community service. Credit should be given for this.

Big flaw in Government Policies in education for the girls. A single girl child have given special facilities in admission in schools, fee concession etc. But why all these facilities withdrawn at once if her sister come into the world ? Parents of "only two girls child" are having more liability than the parents of "One girl child". Facility of "One girl child" may be extended to the "only two girls child" also.

I am highly disappointed with system of education. Every year thousands of rupees are spend on buying new book where we are struggling to make our nation 100% literate. It is monopoly of school that they dictate us. I feel my freedom is stolen just because of boneless government education policies and system. We have to bend in front of school (dictators) just for the sake of our children future. "Use less paper" Gandhiji taught us. But in school they teach how to waste paper. Disheartening!!!!!
