Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

We need to build on the entrepreneurial personality traits of elementary school students by giving special focus to elements of entrepreneurship education like risk taking ability, creativity and innovation, by taking up new initiatives in the classroom.

To improve the primary education we should have similar syllabus in all schools, irrespective of school, whether it is a Govt. school or Private schools, Private school should also be asked to teach the same syllabus to the students so that a uniformity be obtained in education, rather it should be done upto school level i.e. upto 10th class, every school should have the same books for students. which private schools are not following, every private school recommends different books.

primary education system needs reform in so many dimensions. unless nd until the system is not changed, we can not develop skill among students in a well mannered way. primary education system needs an improvement immediately

This would also add interest in the subject and result in better learning. Simulation/ business games could be included in the curriculum to provide real world experience

The government should ensure that job creation along with education. Focus should be on teaching Entrepreneurship Education at elementary level to build a culture of entrepreneurship in India. Teaching should be facilitated by the use of AV-aids like videos and recorded lectures along with class room teaching to ensure certain amount of quality of teaching.

I think for better education, state education minister should be well educated and qualified and must have the vision for the good education in the state...as he is the head of the hierarchy system of education..he should make rules and regulation for the appointment of good & qualified member who play the role for good education...IF EACH STATE WORK FOR GOOD EDUCATION ULTIMATELY COUNTRY EDUCATION SYSTEM WILL IMPROVE

बच्चे के व्यक्तित्व के संपूर्ण विकास के लिए आवश्यक हॆ कि उसकी प्राथमिक शिक्षा उसकी मातृभाषी में हो । मिडिल कक्षा से उसे देश की राजभाषा,हिंदी तथा अंग्रेजी आदि अन्य भाषाषाएं पढाई जाएं. समय समय पर गठित सभी शिक्षा आयोगों ने इसे स्वीकार किया हॆ. डॉ.परमानंद पांचाल, राषृपति के पूर्व O.S.D. .

Learning while playing upto primary level because boring method of education don't teach them ANYTHING. For example Australian education system (primary).

It is unfortunate that the emphasis on learning a foreign language like English starts right from Class 1 and even below. This hampers the personality growth of a growing child who finds it difficult to express himself in a foreign language, thereby leading to rote learning and imbibing a thought process which is essentially foreign to our culture. I would like the government to ensure that the medium of instruction in primary classes essentially be kept in the respective mother tongues.

दियों से हमें वही सब पढ़ाया भला हो अंग्रेजों का कि इन्होने हमें ज्ञान दिया, हमें आगे बढ़ना सिखाया आदि! हम भारत वासी जो यह मानते हैं कि नारी में देवी का वास है उसे मैकॉले की इस विनाशकारी शिक्षा की क्या आवश्यकता है? हमारे ऋषियों ने तो यह कहा था कि दुनिया में सबसे पवित्र नारी है और पुरुष में पवित्रता इसलिए आती है क्यों कि उसने नारी के गर्भ से जन्म लिया है।हम तो हमारे देश को भी भारत माता कहते हैं। किन्तु एक ऐसी शिक्षा पद्धति जो हमें नारी को पब, डिस्को और बीयर बार में ले जाना सिखा रही है, क्यों?
