Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) is glad to inform its citizens that Mangalore has been shortlisted among 100 cities which are ought to be developed as Smart Cities in concurrence to the Smart City Mission Guidelines of MoUD, GOI. Based on the responses received from citizens during Round one and two alongside considering the scheme guidelines, the Corporation has proposed two pan-city proposals, highlighted as below;

1. “One Touch Mangaluru”
2. Smart Utility Management System for water, waste management and electricity

More details of the project are available in the MCC website.

All citizens of Mangaluru are requested to go through the project details and submit their views w.r.t the proposals through www.mygov.in

Last date for submission is 11th December 2015.

1. 100 feet width Road connectivity from Port to Airport 2. Marine drive way from surathkal to someshwar to attract tourism.3. Broad highways in city limits.4. Internation standard Cricket , Foot Ball and Tennis stadium by providing special infrastructure to the existing Mangala staduim. 5. Distingushing the roads in the city for Buses, emergency vehicles ,two wheelers etc6. Fly overs across the level crossing and othe rtraffic porne areas wherever required

WE HEAR NEWS ACROSS THE COUNTRY ABOUT A LOT OF SCAMS AND SIPHONING OF MONEY ONCE THE PROPOSALS GET THROUGH AND FUNDS POUR IN. WE NEED NOT ONLY DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY INTO SMART CITY BUT WE NEED TO BE KEPT UPDATE ON THE USE OF FUNDS. WE NEED ROADS THAT DONT GIVE AWAY ONCE RAINS FALL. WE DONT NEED INFRASTRUCTURES THAT HAVE ONLY A SHOWCASE VALUE. WE NEED QUALITY AND EFFECTIVE WORK. THE LIST MUST BE UPDATED TO BRING IN MORE IMPROVEMENTS EACH YEAR. MEDIA MUST PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN THIS.

STREET LIGHT IN MANY AREA ARE NOT WORKING SMALL LANE ARE ALSO NOT CLEAN AS MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT KEEPING THEMSELF CLEAN THROWING GARBAGES ON ROAD FIRST THE PUBLIC SHOULD GET SOME TRANING PROGRAMEE FROM YOUR END TO KEEP THEMSELF CLEAN THE AREA & SOCIETY & MUST SET THE YOUTH PROGRAMME THAT WE CAN HELP TO BRING FROM EVERY FAMILY MEMBER TO GROW SOME PLANTATION PROGRAMME & SOME DO IT COMPULSORY FOR THIS

FOR MEDICAL HELP ALSO THERE SHOULD BE IMMEDIATE TRANSPORTATION AS IT IS VERY DIFFICULT AS MANY RICKSHAW PERSON ARE NOT READY TO GO & THEY CHARGE HIGH FOR GOIN ONE PLACE TO OTHER PLACE & REGARDING ALL PEOPLE SAFETY ALSO SHOULD WORK ON IT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS ABOUT TRAINS WHICH IS VERY DANGER TO BOARD DUE TO OVER CROWDED & EVEN THE CLEANILINESS ABOUT TRACK ALSO
