Our own Cutting Edge Research. Dear sir To do this at least in IIT and IISC for specific branches incentives to Mtech and Phd students should be increased to 30000 and 45000 respectively as in medical field. This would be beneficial as the scenario is 1. Management jobs are paying high. 2. Psu jobs seem to be more lucrative. 3. MS at foreign universities become more lucrative. 4. Students leave Mtech in between as they get job. Thanks & Regards Your admirer

Nowadays teaching no longer a lucrative carrier options for a aspiring teacher.this is because there is very limited options in government schools and in private sector there is only exploitation of teachers..Condition of teachers in private schools is very pathetic.Long working hours...very minimal salary, long working hours..And opposite to that the salary in government schools is good but the condition and infrastructure is very poor.Government schools lack any challenge & working conditions.

In my opinion if we want to change the education system we need to revamp the quality of teachers as well as the quality of government schools...Why every one wants to send their ward in government schools...I think government should not only focus on quantity but quality of education...Government school of good standards should be developed..even the level of kendriya vidyalayas is degrading day by day..Nowadays a teacher have very limited number of carrier options.

First of all Teacher's selection should not be based on Marks(can be having fake certificate)and also some fields Like Teaching,Doctor etc should not be selected based on reservation also.It should be based on Ability/Knowledge of the Person. In these fields each one should have equal opportunity.Reservation doesn't means that that person is really poor, because in India needy people doesn't get the chance to avail this Reservation facility.Person having enough resource is availing this facility.

There is good selection process for teachers in Universities and degree colleges as framed by UGC. But teachers are not regularly updating themselves by attending refresher courses etc. Moreover, the refresher courses run by Universities are not up to the mark and only mend for completing formalities for promotion of teachers. In my opinion, teachers must be sent regularly for these courses to other states and also the course content and conduct must be improved.

As a teacher who has taugt in the Gulf and in INdia, there is a dearth of teachers everywhere in the world. I read in a comment here that people who have done their education via distance shouldnt be included. Teaching is an art that needs to be polished. even as an acquired art, it needs to be unbderstood what kind of teaching fox
