For example, the desired quality outcomes in a primary/elementary teacher will be very different from those of higher education - say Engg or Medicine. Again this needs to be addressed in the social context of the teacher and the school or educational institute. Example, the process will be different for teachers in rural areas as compared to those located in urban areas. Quality teachers need to be developed and it is a nuturing process. Hiring is only the first step.

I certainly agree with the views presented by Vivek Samar, Ramesh Chandra, Bhaskera Nand Joshi. The concept or idea of developing best teachers is a process, that requires investment and time to obtain the desired results. Here, it is important to segregate the desired outcomes of "quality teachers" as per the level of education and identify appropriate programs, incentives that will inculcate intrinsic as well as extrinsic motivation in teachers.

Thanks for giving an opportunity in the discussion. My Concern is "When we give admission in the MBBS or B.Tech-IIT or NSIT etc. to the students, we found the quality of education is really wonderfull. I never saw a Medical student who ever failed, but why the quality of education is not appropriate in case of rural students in primary/secondary education. Can we fix the accountability, responsibility of the institution/teachers for producing the quality student.

in our education system there are policy or rule about industrial training in bachelor's and/or master's degree. why there is no rule/curriculum for teaching the students of school/high school by those who are in bachelor's and/or master's degree college. this might be for 15 days to 1 month. this help the students from both side to communicate and exchange of ideas with each other, to learn changing pattern of education,. the problem of shorting of teachers in school will might be shortly solve

first of all govt should warn to the higher officials to make transparent system in education sector, watching from childhood higher officials always linger on the teachers issues because if the teachers are not mentally satisfied from the system how they will teach and how they will show thier talent and other many source to the students in education system major problem is if a teacher is living in udaipur with family & his/her posting is far from example 60 70 80 100 km from living place

1.People should be allowed to enter this profession when they are really interested in this. They should be asked to fill a bond (teaching bond) of atleast 3 years. 2.Teaching institutes should be opened to develop the teaching skills of the teachers.

Integrated courses should be started after 12th class so that refined and goal oriented real teachers with full zeal of teaching can be obtained. Counselling and guidance diploma should be essential qualification for the teachers so that he/she can fulfill the needs of society and students in real sense.
