In order to come up with suggestions for #SmartCities we must first explore the existing shortcomings. Before making a smart city, we must first make smart citizens. Politicians, administrators and citizens must understand their roles, responsibilities and limitations. Somebody must be accountable for something or else there would be chaos. See the limitations and suggestions here: http://microrao.blogspot.com/2015/10/smart-cities.html

Green zones of the city should be maintained for environmental balance Road widening should not be only done for the carriage ways but the pedestrian walkways should be given priority. Ring-road proposal should be completed. For any type of old and new building developments rainwater harvesting and solar energy systems should be made compulsory.24*7*365 days electricity. Separate lane for two wheeler, four wheeler and heavy vehicles. Over bridges for railway crossing.

I Would like to suggest to maintain cleanliness near our CBT bus stand. To make overbridge in the city premises, since people are facing many problems. City can be kept more clean by constructing sulabh souchalaya in main city, and by providing parking facilities where ever possible. There should be plantation of more trees to avoid pollution. Street should be made available by street lamps,to avoid any severe injurious particularly at night where more trucks, buses are been travelled.

The solar panels should be installed on the roof top of all possible public places like bus stand, railway station, Corporation office, All government offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, bus stand, railway station, airport, private building, street lights etc. places. The same buildings/places should consume the electricity generated on their roof-top

All city buses in the city must have GPS installed using which the bus-stops/bus terminals where the buses are expected to halt should display the information of arrival timing of the bus on electronic boards. Ex: The city buses in the city of London have this facility.

The land of old vegetable market located at Dane Galli in Shahapur is lying unused by the city corporation for about 2 decades now. A modern multi storied market could be constructed here where the ground floor will be reserved for parking, first floor for vegetable market, second and third floor should be reserved for commercial purpose. Top floor for Solar Panels!
