The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens. Please formulate your vision statement for Pasighat (preferably in less than 50 words) and submit on www.mygov.in

The prize money for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position is Rs. 11000, Rs.7000 and Rs.5000 respectively.

The last date to submit your entries is 12th November, 2015.

If selected Pasigaht to be smart city, then there should be proper drainage system, Drinking water system is one of the main problem instead of mighty siang river flowing nearby, which can be improve by tapping water from siang river supply. Electricity is also another big problem which can be improve by constructing 2-3 mini hydel on the tributaries of siang river. Beer bar or dance permit should be ban.All the haphazardly allotted land should cancelled to facilitate proper sector road.

Smartness of Pasighat Smart City is not only about its physical appearance. It is more about how easily and swiftly its citizens accomplish their endeavours in safety and security, and how healthy, enlightened and well-off they are. Finally, she is smart because development happens here in Harmony with Nature.

We are plenty in natural natural resources. River Siang is one of them. Regarding security we need to 24X7 universal emergency phone number along with fire brigade and ambulance service. Building with earthquake resistance. Solid waste management and well connected drainage system. Pasighat being the heart of Arunachal should be developed as an Economic Hub.

A prosperous and developed city from all spheres such as smart transport system well connected communication, first class road connectivity & quality, well maintained drainage system and clean water and air.
