Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is going to set up user-friendly Wayside Amenities on National Highways for providing comfort and safety to National Highway travellers.

The Wayside amenities would have facilities like-

• Parking (separately for cars, buses & trucks)
• Restaurant/food court for providing quality food
• Low cost Dhaba
• Telephone booth / wi-fi
• ATM
• Fuel station
• Minor repair shop
• Rest rooms for short stay
• Toilets for ladies and gents
• Kiosks for sale of sundry items
• Medical aid and chemist shop
• Helipad facilities

Ministry of Road Transport & Highways invites entries from the public for suggesting - Logo for the proposed Wayside Amenities.

Last date for submission is 31st January, 2015.

Selected entry will be awarded cash prize of Rs.25,000/-.

Logo concept: (Logo2) The road in the symbol together with the long perpendicular bars form the letter 'H' representing the highways. All the coloured bars on either side of the road represent various facilities that the department strives to provide. The road itself has sideways symbolisng the beautification of the highways. Overall an effective design conveying the objective of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
