Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is going to set up user-friendly Wayside Amenities on National Highways for providing comfort and safety to National Highway travellers.
The Wayside amenities would have facilities like-
• Parking (separately for cars, buses & trucks)
• Restaurant/food court for providing quality food
• Low cost Dhaba
• Telephone booth / wi-fi
• ATM
• Fuel station
• Minor repair shop
• Rest rooms for short stay
• Toilets for ladies and gents
• Kiosks for sale of sundry items
• Medical aid and chemist shop
• Helipad facilities
Ministry of Road Transport & Highways invites entries from the public for suggesting - Logo for the proposed Wayside Amenities.
Last date for submission is 31st January, 2015.
Selected entry will be awarded cash prize of Rs.25,000/-.

WAH is representation of exclamation when
something very good comes one's way unexpectedly.
So on the road a sudden discovery of a home providing
amenities will be a delightful surprise for everyone.
WAH is also abbreviation for WAYSIDE AMENITIES HOME.
The name has high recall value because it defines
the true purpose in one go which is not in the case of most
brand names. WAH being short will have high visibility
on highways. Lastly the name is very tongue savvy.

"HIGHWAY PARK"- name and logo which is very simple and it matches with other highway signs on the road. This logo also shows all the major amenities proposed by the government.

Concept of this logo : TAJGI... The highway in between two wings of butterfly shapes... indicates the fresh, green atmosphere and the dots on this wings suggests the amenities, which provides a pleasure to Highway travellers. It also indicates that the highway journey become a safe and more comfortable as a butterfly fly smoothly..
