Kakinada city is the headquarters of East Godavari District.It is one of the fastest developing cities in Andhra Pradesh with a population of 3,25,985 (as per 2011 census). It is the 4th largest city by area and 7th largest by population in Andhra Pradesh. Kakinada over’s an area of 31.69 sq.km. It is located at 16.930N 82.220E.The 82-degrees east longitude passes through the city. Population Density within the city is 10,287(as per 2011 census). Kakinada has a tropical savanna climate with hot, humid weather most of the year. The average annual rainfall in the area is 1186 mm. Kakinada is the base for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s Eastern Offshore Asset. According to 2011 census, literacy rate of the city is 81%.Kakinada city has a diversified economic base. The pillars of the city’s economy are ports, marine, education, tourism, administration and trade, and commerce and industrial sectors.

Make your city smart-Kakinada, Redesign of Temple street  Two wheeler Parking should be organised  Junction improvements for proper traffic flow  More people should be made aware regarding road safety and following of traffic rules for safety  Carriageway should be improved  Hawkers should be restricted in one way road

Raja Tank Park proposals for make your city smart, Kakinada competition  Parking needs to be improved  Citizen engagement should be there for the development activities  There is a need for good play areas  Walking track and toilets needs to be redone  Landscaping should be maintained properly  Water boats need to be safe for the people to use

Gandhi Park proposals for make your city smart, Kakinada competition  Overall infrastructure needs to be developed  CCTV cameras should be placed in all the parks  Need for entertainment facilities  Play area should be improved for children  Park should be safe and made accessible for the physically challenged to use the park  More cleanliness needs to be adopted  Dust bins should be placed at convenient locations in the park

Suggestions for the Gandhi Park, Kakinada 1. Landscaping to be improved 2. Flowering trees to be planted more 3. Play area are not safe for the children these has to be made completely safe for the users 4. Walking tracks are to be improved 5. Recreational activities to be installed in the park 6. Security is an issue as recently some suicide incidents happened in the water body 4. Railing if there in the water body helps to this issue 5. Eateries has to be present in the park 6. Sports activities to be installed 7. Play equipment to be repaired/ reinstalled
