The goal of Swachh Bharat is to provide access for every person to:-
Sanitation facilities including Toilets, Solid and Liquid Waste Disposal Systems, and clean surroundings.

We have to achieve this by 2019 as a befitting tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Birth Anniversary.

Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA), the Goal is now to make India Open Defecation Free (ODF) India by 2019 by construction of individual, cluster & community toilets; and villages will be kept clean, including through solid and liquid waste management through Gram Panchayats. The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Govt. of India seeks entries for design a Logo for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.  The last date of submission is 19th September, 2014.  The winning entry will be awarded a  cash prize of Rs.50,000/-.

The logo is showing that all groups of people either children or adults of india will have to coorperate to make our india clean.

The logo with water drop speaks for clear and cleaner sanitation facility for better life / health. The white pathway in letter S shape with sparkle in the edge stands brighter and healthier life ahead. The bold and elegant type face used for better visibility and supported tricolour. Logo depicts the philosophy of Clean, Green & Glean India. Making India Open Defection Free is feasible with self-determination of each individual of either sex who can use only toilets for better sanitation purpose. Closet symbolizes the facilities where waste disposals are recycled. Drop of water depicts preservation of clean water. Environment surrounded by Green Leaves symbolize healthy & polluted free atmosphere. These will make Swachh Bharat-Swastha Bharat.
