The goal of Swachh Bharat is to provide access for every person to:-
Sanitation facilities including Toilets, Solid and Liquid Waste Disposal Systems, and clean surroundings.

We have to achieve this by 2019 as a befitting tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Birth Anniversary.

Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA), the Goal is now to make India Open Defecation Free (ODF) India by 2019 by construction of individual, cluster & community toilets; and villages will be kept clean, including through solid and liquid waste management through Gram Panchayats. The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Govt. of India seeks entries for design a Logo for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The last date of submission is 19th September, 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.50,000/-.

The designed picture is having the focus of healthy environment which is hygienic and leads to happy moments of everyone and that is highlighted in the upper part.The left part is emphasizing the need to avoid water&air pollution whereas the right part explains real discipline in life which is indicated by road discipline. Finally,the need of the healthy society with harmonious living is with a slogan as " SURITY WITH PURITY" to make India as " Saare Jahaan Se Achcha."

swachtaya samaridhi symbol contains picture of clean road,leaf and plant as symbol of greenry,broom for cleaness and pot as indication of prosperty and fulfilness of our needs.
