The Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF) is an autonomous body under the administrative control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. The Foundation has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing, administering and carrying on the important and long-term schemes and programmes identified during the Centenary Celebrations of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The main objectives of the Foundation inter alia include implementation of programmes and activities for furthering the ideology and message of Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar among the masses in India as well as abroad.
Presently, the Foundation does not have any logo of its own. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Dr. Ambedkar Foundation. The last date of submission is October 1, 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-.

The logo is inspired by the life of Babasaheb Ambedkar. The Ashoka chakra reflects the wheel of progress & Dhamma Chakra. The Book in the form of Blue Lotus depicts Indian Constitution, the basis for Indian democracy. In the centre is the portrait of Dr.Ambedkar the architect of Indian constitution. The slogan SWATMAN MUNCH in Sanskrit means LIBERATE YOURSELF the motto of Foundation for the liberation of backward classes.In the backdrop is shadow of Buddha in a Stupa which is a symbol of peace.

Dr Ambedkar Foundation Logo here depicts the Constitution of India which binds us and guides us in identifying and executing our responsibilities with honesty and integrity. The lotus flower, people holding hands, the Ashoka Chakra and colour orange and blue has been taken from our national flag to showcase Indian heritage and culture.
