The Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF) is an autonomous body under the administrative control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. The Foundation has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing, administering and carrying on the important and long-term schemes and programmes identified during the Centenary Celebrations of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The main objectives of the Foundation inter alia include implementation of programmes and activities for furthering the ideology and message of Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar among the masses in India as well as abroad.
Presently, the Foundation does not have any logo of its own. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Dr. Ambedkar Foundation. The last date of submission is October 1, 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-.

The Logo reminds us the achievements of Shri Dr. B.R.Ambedkar and kindles inspiration among the people.He being the key architect of Indian constitution, it is depicted in the form of a book(In blue) and a pens nib inscribed in the letter A of DAF. The primary shape of the logo is circle with human chain around the central portion(Equi-distant from center). This emphasizes Ambedkar's vision of 'All are equal in front of law'.Below the logo is union of trinity-'Liberty.Equality.Fraternity.'

The logo is designed with certain key features in mind, such as the logo should be clear & legible in all sizes even when printed on ID card or visiting card without missing any details designed in the logo. The constitution book in tricolor symbolizes that it belongs to India. Pen nib with weighing Balance symbolizes all men are equal before law. Dr.Ambedkar is portrayed with Lawyer’s necktie to show that he is a Scholar & Lawyer who was the chairman in the constitution drafting committee.
