The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

The logo contains the Tricolour of India , except the ashok chakra , representing India.
The logo contains two alphabets in Capital , one is D , another is 'I',in front of D , representing abbreviation of " INDIA DIGITAL " .
The line below it , shows " making India digital . . .".
