The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

Digital India : For this purpose we must digitize court, police stations, villages and all services by the Govt. can be accessed by the people from anywhere and they should be able to track the progress as well. So best of Luck to Govt. for this effort.

The torch/mashal in letter I is creatively integrated with letters Digital India to signify progressive and ground-breaking initiatives which empowers common man and unites citizens of India. It signifies Information & Knowledge exchange, Digital Infrastructure & E-governance unified together making it one mashal. The colour palette is derived from colours of Indian Flag. The logo design is stylish, innovative, original and citizen oriented, a match for ground-braking initiatives from DeitY.
