I've talked to many friends and relatives most of them are aware and want to participate in Recycling but they want workable solution for segregation. In urban India where couples are working they can separate dry and wet recyclables at home but they want some one to pick from their door steps. In my view each house hold should be provided two bins each for dry and wet which can be collected by "Recycling man". And the dry stream can be segregated by recycling man.

Women's self help groups can be entertained to collect segregated waste from every street which can have two big closed bins---one for bio degradable kitchen waste and other non bio degradable waste. News papers, aluminum, and iron and other waste can be sold to scrap collectors. Food waste, Fruit waste, Flower waste, Fish, Mutton, Chicken, Egg shell and garden waste can be collected separately and given for manure making process.
