Every house in our locality shall segregate waste into bio degradable and non bio degradable--in green and red baskets respectively. If segregation is done in the sourcing itself, it takes out manual scavenging. We can bury kitchen waste in landfills along with some cow dung and sprinkle some water to get manure. Non bio degradable can be taken away by the corporation.

Mumbai municipality spends a sum of 2300 crores every year on clearing the GARBAGE. Imagine how much money is being spent on ALL MUNICIPALITIES put together in the Country. We need not be surprised that this sum may be beyond our YEARLY NATIONAL BUDGET. The solution is already given by AMIR KHANji in his SATYAMEVA JAYATHE season 2 episode 3. IF MR. MODIJI SPEND TIME TO SEE THIS EPISODE MAY ATLEAST A LAC CRORES CAN BE SAVED FOR THE COUNTRY. I PRAY INF REACHES OUR PM and he acts immediately.

we removed ugly movie posters on a school wall and cleaned the wall and painted it .and spoke to the concern department ...we motivated schol children to be a part in that painting and spoke to the person who stick posters not to stick again

I don't live in India but want to see clean and sustainable India with citizens having high respect for our mother earth. I want our kids to learn and value of sustainable living. I have suggested my friends and family to engage kids in waste management and segregation in home. I have given them a suggestion to segregate on daily basis and ask kids to weigh each waste/recyclables on weekly basis. And if possible tell kids the worth of recyclables.

We Group 50 walked around 25 KM on 15th Aug 2014 at 3.30 to 5.30 and collected 100+ flags thrown by the people. we named the event 'flagathon" this is how we have saluted our Indian tricolor flag

I initiated 'Refuse plastic, Reduce plastic, Reuse plastic and Recycle plastic' drive at my home. We refuse to take plastic bags while shoppin-ex while going to buy fruits or vegetables we take our own bags. When it is possible to take metal stuff we do not buy plastics. Ex while carrying out parties at home we use re-usuable metal dishes instead of plastic plates and glasses. Also once plastic is purchased we try to reuse it, and if can not use them more, we sell for recycling. want 2 do mor

Hi Its duty of every citizen to keep neat & clean their locality but Some help required from the Govt, Municipal authority & other govt body to make this vision successful. 1 .Dust Bin in every 100 meter radius with proper cleaning . 2. Free Toilet availability. 3. General awareness. 4. Some hard rules to implement this vision . 5. Some penalty clause . 6. Circulate a order to all govt authority, Officers & Employees to do their job properly & help to local person to make this vision visibl
