There are many schemes implemented across the states by their state govt. Govt of Karnataka has the following schemes to support girls education: 1. Free cycle for girls who attend the schools. 2. school fees is waived off for girl students and education is made free for girls until they attain bachelor degrees(should study in govt colleges). 3. scholarships for girl students. 4. increased number of job oriented courses at colleges, so that they become self sustained after their education.

I have seen dramatical changes in numbers of student joining school after MID DAY MEAL scheme started. And I appreciate the way government has applied this scheme to the root level. 1. We can also launch such scheme for girls to encouraging them to join school. 2. We can give free study stuffs to girls as much as government can. Why should we worry about expenses ? After all this is about future of our country. 3. Security and facilities should be top priority

Here are the examples that proves that we can slowly but definatly eradicate the "ILLITERACY " word from Independent India. >> SARVA SHIKSHA ABHIYAN towards universalize elementary eduaction. >> THE KASTURBA GANDHI BALIKA VIDYALAYAS launched by by the govt. for setting up residential schools at upper primary level for gilrs. and there are many .
