Ambala Cantt(Haryana):- You can start from here. You can pick this city for pilot project. This is the Army cantonment too. So even army can help you to make this pilot project successful. Then you can use outcomes of this pilot project on other cities too.

Start via Jalpaiguri-Siliguri Development Authority. Both the twin cities have huge collection and disposal issue and Encephallitis deaths make national / international news every year. Select one national level vendor for multiple places within a region for skills & knowledge transfer and for benefits of scale. Together the twin cities have a population of about 20 lakhs now. PPP (re. W2E Project in Kuwait) should be possible if center takes the lead on grant. Do not specify the end product.

Shimla: This was the summer capital during British Raj. But today its needs waste management to retain its crown. Waste dumping sites are increasing every day. Shimla Municipal Corporation is doing what it can but cash starved SMC has nothing much to offer. It will be an ideal site to initiate this cab because of its low population and small area compared to other cities. Jai Hind.

Pondicherry and Maduari are the best place for this project, because many traditional temples, hospital, schools are there..

My town Bantwal Town Municipality is notorious for negligent practices in Solid Waste Management where in rainy season the waste collectors not even collect waste for 4 days at a stretch. There is no Waste differentiation and they dump the bulk waste collected at public place where dogs make a nuisance and because of heavy rain this causes diseases with rain water mixing with waste. Bantwal is just 25 kelometers from Mangalore. This is part of Karnataka's no one mp's constituency.

>>>>I believe, selecting top 3, Tier 1, 2 & 3 from each states for Pilot project of waste management will be a good start, as it gives a wide range of suggestions. >>>> setting up a web based central monitoring system at one location and its sub-branch at each cities or towns >>>>Impact on the ground will also be seen and each states good/successful ideas can be taken into consideration at once, as all the work will be done parallel

Hubli-Dharwad, where we can have solid waste management and waste water treatment initiatives. Educate people to segregate wastes. Taking waste separately to waste management center. It will be difficult to follow waste management later. As it is one of the fastest growing city.

People should be make aware of biodegradable & Non-biodegradable waste And seprate binsfor each kind of waste, should be there for waste in each area. The muncipalities should strictly participate in this.Govt sweeper, which are already there in that areas should be assigned task to collect different waste in different vehicles from all houses and carry it to the big waste disposal point. And should be closly monitored by the muncipalities.people should be encourged to use seperate bins for waste.
